My claim to fame, back in the Pleistocene, is to be the founder of AltaVista. Then I ran a research lab for eBay, did a stint at Google, and more than my share of not-so-successful start-ups. A year ago I was a co-founder of Qwiki, which won TechCrunch Disrupt in 2010. Overall, I'm a deep techie who likes to build things. Preferably in the consumer space, and with a sizable dose of magic.
