Louisa is a second-generation British-Ghanaian, born and raised in North Staffordshire and currently living in Central London. In addition to her work as an advisory and strategic consultant, she is a talented singer, with many years’ experience performing a wide variety of classical choral music with the Birmingham and London Symphony Choruses. In Birmingham, with its long history of fostering diversity and inclusion, she was a member of the management committee for seven years and an informal mentor to young singers from a wide range of backgrounds. As a black member of the largely white London Symphony Chorus, she was founding Co-Chair of the LSC’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group, working in close partnership with her Co-Chair to establish terms of reference for the group, to build working relations with the LSC’s board of directors and to drive a number of initiatives. She is passionate about increasing participation in the arts and she knows how many barriers to inclusion are obvious to those with lived experience and still remain unseen by those whose experience is different. As well as singing, she loves to cook and is devoted to her two cats and to her friends and family (possibly in that order.) She is also a qualified nail technician.
