They built kingdoms from stone. I built mine from desire.

My throne was never carved from gold—it was shaped by lingering glances, whispered promises, and hearts willing to gamble everything for a single touch. Every step I took left temptation in its wake, and every smile was an invitation to a game where no one truly won.

"Love asks for forever," I would say. "Lust only asks for tonight."

People came searching for passion, believing they could leave untouched. They couldn't. Some surrendered willingly; others fought until they realized the battle had already been lost the moment they met my eyes.

I wore confidence like a crown. Lust was my throne, and I was its queen.

Yet kingdoms built on hunger are never satisfied.

When the music faded and the candles burned low, the palace echoed with silence. Admiration vanished with the dawn, and the faces that swore devotion disappeared into the morning light, chasing new dreams or hiding old regrets.

One evening, I looked upon my magnificent kingdom and saw what it truly was—not an empire, but a hall of mirrors reflecting endless longing. Every victory demanded another. Every conquest left the throne a little colder.

For the first time, I wondered whether ruling desire was the same as being ruled by it.

The crown still rested upon my head.

But it had become heavier than it looked.
