I'm passionate about education policy, practice and people, with an inherent interest in innovation. I blog and Tweet, and am sometimes in the media.

I am Head of Education at Reform, a non-partisan think tank focused on public services.

I'm also a volunteer school governor in Tower Hamlets and Chair of governors at Primary Advantage in Hackney.

I've worked previously as a Freelance Consultant, including at; the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER), the Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI), and Taylor and Francis.

Befor that I worked as Head of Research and Data setting up The Careers & Enterprise Company, an employer-led organisation to inspire and prepare young people for the fast-changing world of work.

Prior to that I was the founding CEO of NAHT Edge, a new technology-enabled teacher union and professional association, for middle leaders in schools, launched in Sep 2014.

Before that I was Head of Research at the Pearson Think Tank and in the Office of the Chief Education Adviser, Sir Michael Barber, where I was Editor of Open Ideas and Blue Skies.

I run social enterprise
