Louiza Hebhardt

With a history as a primary school teacher in Darwin, London and Adelaide, Louiza began her Masters of Social Sciences (Counselling Studies) in 2004 in an effort to improve her ability to support primary school children and their families. From these studies came the unexpected discovery about the psychological hazards associated with working in the helping professions (in which teaching is included).

As a result of these findings and seeing that there were no services available that combined the knowledge of working in schools with these hazards, Louiza created her business 'Equilibrium' in 2010. It took two years before Louiza was able to leave her role as a primary school counsellor and now works full time as director of Equilibrium, providing counselling, training and consulting services to school based staff in an effort to increase their awareness about the unique stressors that go hand in hand with working in education and providing those who work in schools with the knowledge and the skills required to manage these stresses productively.

Louiza is also a "St Lukes Innovative Resources" agent and sells and distributes St Lukes materials which include a huge range of stunning conversation starter cards, stickers and books.
