Travel Barbados - Loving the Spread

Barbados is surrounded by podwer white sand, beaches and vivid blue seas, and the very best way to see it all is by Helicopter!! (Horizon Helicopters Barbados.) , or if your purse carries a bit less change than that, try taking a bus! The coaches are so much higher up than a car, you get to see much much more of the island, so save your hire car for week 2! and it gets even better, as you and the family can go all the way around the Island, (if you get on the right one!) and get change from just a few dollars! The Platinum Heights Estate is only a short walk to the main bus route.

All buses on Barbados go via Bridgetown (Capital!) so if your journey leads away from Bridgetown, just cross over the road, and get the next one back!

* HOT TIP * if you are not sure where to get off- ask the driver,, like most Bajans, they will happilly tell you all they know on the subject, and even drop you off, at the best spot!!

A selection of South Coast Hotels also do 'Day Passes', allowing you to ( for a fee!) use their, pool, bar, restaurent, for the day, and all hotels welcome tourists by the bar at night, even when they have entertainment on, so just pick one that you fancy spending the evening at, and stroll in!
