Lauryn Sirhad

Hi. My name is Lauryn Sirhad, I'm 12 years old. I live in England and always have. When I was a child I loved singing, but I never took it seriously. When I was 10 years old I really had a passion for it, and that's when my dream began... At age 12 I started to take singing classes and still am. My dream was to become a singer, however there was a problem. My confidence in front of an audience... I've always wanted to boost up my stage confidence, but just can't find the right place or time to do it. In my opinion, I was fine in front of people that I didn't know, but in front of my family I would break down... I was always afraid that after the performance they would talk about everything that I did, every movement and shift of key an ask why I did it. Now till this very day I try to avoid getting involved in plays, and it upsets me very much... I love theatre so much. My favourite broadway actress is an all time legend, and she's called Julie Andrews. I first got to know who Julie was a few months after my 12th birthday... I was obsessed with Walt Disneyland at the time and was always begging my parents to let me go. I went from watching random clips of people vacations there, to watching the Mary Poppins meet n greet's... Then that got me to watch the movie, when Julie came on as Mary Poppins, flashbacks came back to me. I thought to myself, don't I know this women so I looked up Julie Andrews and she was 77 at the time I looked at the top picture and my jaw dropped, because she didn't look at all a day under 40. Then I saw her 2 husbands the first one was Tony Walton, and the second one was Blake Edwards. He died in 2010, I felt so sorry for Julie... I was so fascinated by Julie and her background that I purchased her auto bio, and till this very day I always think and dream that I will meet her one day .
