Organizer. Advocate. Content Creator. Strategist.

I'm not big on long meetings; I like to get things done.

What qualifies me to write about Ohio? Well for one, I live here; and two, I've spent time NOT living here, so I get it.

Born: Atlanta at Fort McPherson (US Army) School Years: Cleveland, University Years: SW Ohio Volunteer Year: NYC Graduate Work: Public Administration

Spent Most Time: doing development work

In Manhattan and Brooklyn for abandoned inner city kids.

As branch director for a health education nonprofit: San Francisco to Boston and major points in between. Managed development and fundraising for nine Ohio counties.

In a municipal Parks and Recreation Department, running public health programs, writing outreach stories for local, state, national level.

Other Highlights:Leading a university scholarship program in Civic Engagement/ Service Learning for Millennials. Submersing ourselves in legislation supported by the National Community Reinvestment Coalition; actively lobbying Capitol Hill during the foreclosure crises for laws which paved the way to the landmark Frank/Dodd Bill.

Running an Earned Media campaign to pass a desperately needed levy for inner city public school funding. ( It had failed with voters for 16 years. Yes, 16.) Through a smart media strategy, ours was one of only THREE successful levies in the state that passed.

Writing an innovative script and storyboards for a National Recreation and Parks Association National Awards Committee for a medium sized community to be awarded the Gold Medal. It won.

Running my own media company, journalist and editor.

My USP:Friends and relatives in all four corners of Ohio keep me linked in, so to speak.

Neither party has it 100% right in the O-H-I-O.

FAR too FEW women are on the board, in the room, or at the table to add their perspective to decisions that affect all of us.

Women are good for Ohio. Just ask us.

What I do: Write. Connect. Advocate. I write about these topics -- like why Ohio keeps Speaker John Boehner in office. And if Hillary will be able to carry Ohio in '16. And how the Silicon Valley could have a impact in the Buckeye election -- if they wanted to.

On the lighter side I"m grateful for life and health and home; nature, good food, and the outdoors. I have two great kids, a cat who thinks he's James Dean and two dogs. I have a thing for musicians, which always turns out to be a bad idea. Music, however, I am still in love with and involved with: listening on a regular basis: all kinds.
