Lawrence Earl Pabalinas
Student, research assistant, and mentor in McAllen, Texas
Ello! My name is Lawrence Earl Tomines Pabalinas. I am a Senior at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) with a major in Exercise Science/Physical Therapy. Aside from academics, I am actively involved in a few organizations: Campus Programming Board (CPB), Filipino Student Association (FSA), and Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. I am a Programming Assistant for CPB wherein I help organize student-focused interactive events on-campus, as well as a new dancer for FSA. This past year I participated in a state-wide volleyball tournament, and competitively danced on-campus and at other universities. Also, I am the current President for the Beta Lambda Chapter of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. I oversee local and national chapter affairs such as academic achievements, community service, leadership development, and university events.
My college experience at UTRGV has mainly consisted of research initiatives. I am a research assistant for Dr. Juan Gonzalez at the Human Performance Lab. I work with an awesome team on several projects. This involvement has facilitated my learning. Research is a leadership experience!
I hope I can help you have an awesome college experience! Go Vaquer@s!
