Hello everyone.
Thank you for being interested enough to make it here today. Now let me tell me a little about myself.
I graduated from the University of North Texas in May 2016, where I earned my degree in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Advertising and a minor in Marketing.
This might sound funny but as a freshman in college, I was initially a psychology major; I thoroughly enjoyed studying the human mind and why individuals behaved certain ways. Soon enough, I realized that what I enjoyed most was the psychology in consumerism. Whenever I went to grocery stores, standing at the checkout lanes, I liked to look into people’s carts to analyze how differently they chose their products. Was it based on brands? Were they generic? Which brand did they seem to trust and why? All these questions aroused my curiosity to get me into Advertising and Marketing.
Over the course of years, my internships and semester-long projects has shaped me into who I am today.
I worked at SWOOP, a Student based Advertising & PR Agency, for six months. Shortly before that, I interned for six weeks at Ogilvy & Mather, Pakistan. I had the opportunity to work with the Creative and Accounts Departments through both internships. I worked on a new brand launch, product reveals, activation plans, billboard copy writing, event ideas and much more. I have written several creative briefs and planned campaigns in school. This allowed me to widen my horizons and get an in-depth understanding into agency work.
Other than all of this, I am also a freelance and event photographer. In my free time on the weekends, when I am not with my friends, I cover weddings. birthdays, parties or private photo shoots. I love following anything I am passionate and that's what makes me who I am.
