My position with Headbands of Hope has allowed me to grow in my field in ways I could not have imagined when I first started out. I've had the opportunity to apply my sales and brand development background to figure out new ways to reach out to people in State College who may not have already known about the brand. In addition to social media promotion, I'm able to connect Headbands of Hope to something that Penn State students and alumni alike hold very close to their hearts: THON. My job also allows me to connect with student organizations and professionals in the area by pitching the company for bulk and wholesale orders. In the end, all of the hard work that goes into my position comes full circle when I have the honor of delivering headband donations to local pediatric hospitals for girls who are in their battle with cancer.
