Luke Smith

I've been in the web development business since 1998. I've normalized relational databases, slogged around in Java, Perl, and PHP, and even pretended (albeit not very well) to be a designer. Now I specialize in JavaScript and DOM scripting and am front end engineer (sorcerers, we're called) at SmugMug. Prior to that, I was a core developer and evangelist for the YUI Library for 5 years.

I've presented at conferences and taught public and private classes in YUI development and frontend engineering.

My wife Heidi and I met swing dancing at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon (we were pretty good). We've been married since 2000 and have two children, Liam and Emelia, who will no doubt save (or take over) the world some day.
