Voyage Around the World: Retd. Lieutenant Commander Gupta made headlines as an integral part of the all-woman crew aboard INSV Tarini, achieving a historic feat by becoming the first Asianteam to circumnavigate the globe in an astounding 254 days. Her leadership and sailing prowess earned her the prestigious Nau Sena gallantry medal on August 15, a testament to her exceptional contribution to the Indian Navy.

Accolades and Recognitions: Continuing her triumph, accolades such as the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award in 2018, Admiral Ramdas Trophy 2018, Hindustan Times 30 under 30 Award, and the esteemed Nari Shakti Award adorned her with an impressive sailing record of 50,000 nautical miles since 2015 and participation in the Cape to Rio 2017 race. Ocean Globe Race 2023 :

Retd. Lieutenant Commander Gupta's journey takes a new turn as she participates in The Ocean Globe Race (OGR), a fully crewed retro race in the spirit of the 1973 Whitbread Round the World Race. She became the first Indian to participate in this race in the last fifty years, and her team winning the race marking another historic achievement.

The Maiden Factor:

Adding an inspiring chapter to her maritime legacy, Retd. Lieutenant Commander Gupta has joined the voyage for girls' education on Maiden, the historic boat. Maiden and her all-female crew are not only racing in the Ocean Globe Race (OGR), showcasing what women can achieve, but they are also on a mission to support girls' education worldwide.
