Lisa Tucker Cross, Ph.D.
Dr. Lisa Tucker Cross is a Registered Interior Designer in the state of Oklahoma. She holds a certificate from the National Council of Interior Design Qualifications, (NCIDQ) and volunteers as a Site Visitor for the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). In December 2004, she received her Ph.D. in Sweden at Lund University from the School of Architecture in Environmental Psychology. Her Ph.D. studies focused on developing a checklist (method) for evaluating and developing outdoor environments within multifamily housing and urban spaces. Dr. Tucker Cross is a Senior Fulltime Faculty member for the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division. Lisa is the proprietor of her interior design firm in Oklahoma City. She has worked within the Interior Design Industry for the past 25 years and has taught and worked in higher education for the past 18 years. Lisa’s current research focuses on research based design to help promote healthier and more user friendly environments. She holds memberships to the following organizations: Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA), International Association for People-Environment Studies (IAPS), Interior Design Education Council (IDEC), and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
