Chang-Shuo Lu

I am from Taiwan. I am currently studying Communication at UIUC. I would like to work in the realty industry, preferably starting as a realty agent. Not only because I am interested in the realty industry, but I also have a careful and thoughtful personality to help me becoming a good realty agent.

To make myself suitable for this position, I have been taking relevant classes. Since I am a Communication major, I have taken many classes that help my communication skills, such as interpersonal communication, strategies for persuasion, mediated communication, business communication, etc. Besides the communication classes, I also took some accounting classes so I am able to do some paperwork as well, such as financial statements. Moreover, I have been self-studying realty industry business by reading relevant books.
In addition to the class work, I have also been doing interns during the summer. Last year I interned at a high society magazine company, Tatler by Edipress. I worked as a feature editor assistant there. I went to press conferences and interviewed celebrities. Although this was not directly about realty industries, this opportunity helped me learn how to interact and really connect with people. To increase my experience and knowledge for realty business, I already got accepted for an intern opportunity next summer.
