Having co-founded the AFRICA JAPAN STUDENTS ALLIANCE (AJASA): A Doshisha university not-for-profit student society recognized by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and TICAD (Tokyo International Conference for African Development). That is a key player in championing the interests of African students and the African continent in partnership with Japanese students and colleagues at the University, as well as in academic institutions in the Kansai region of Japan. Found in October 2015, the organization has grown from 20 to 60 members in 6 months. WE meets once a month to host seminars to discuss issues related to the development of Africa across regions and the role young leaders can take up now and beyond. we also host events such as football tournaments, as well as language, food and cultural exchange networking engagements. We are grooming leaders to take over the leadership of AJASA to ensure that the movement continues into the future. Most importantly, we are nurturing young leaders with a solution-orientated mind-set to return to their home countries and confidently change the trajectory of the African continent one nation at a time. We have launched the AJASA Alumni Network, to preserve the connections created for the benefit of all members and supporting institutions.
