Lucan Ponisammy

Lucan Ponisammy was born in the a small settler's town today known as Nelspruit in South Africa.

Lucan attended high school in Johannesburg where he excelled acadamically and in sport and matriculated with marit awards.

He enrolled to the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and studied Social Sciences. He graduated from Wits University with a BA in Political Studies and Sociology.

Although wanting to be a Political Researcher, after graduating Lucan pursued a career in Management Consulting where he held a position as a Project Administrator, he than pursued a career in Transport, he served as Logistic Manager.

Lucan is the Secretary-General and Director of the International Council of Folk Art and Festivals South Africa. He is also the founder and Managing Director of Riverover Transport Services, an organisation specialising in passenger, cargo and construction transportation. He is also a Director on Premier Fleet and Property. He also holds a Chairmanship position within various organisations and committees.

Lucan is currently completing his Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and preparing for entrance into the MBA programme.
