Luke Armstrong

I’m an experienced mid career designer, with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Columbus College of Art and Design. I have 13 years experience as a professional graphic artist, art director, photographer and photo editor.

Currently I'm the Sr. Designer and a Photographer for the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena in Atlanta GA. I'm responsible for originating graphic assets, overseeing installation of in-arena sign-age, directing a team of designers and creating campaign elements. I also create Ad's, Billboards, Website Graphics and Magazine Spreads. On game nights I'm a designated photographer that will shoot anything from game action court-side to fans in the building and marketing photography.

Before this I worked as a designer on the brand marketing team at EA SPORTS. My team focused on consumer marketing, licensing, and brand partnerships. In addition, we're responsible for partnership activation across franchises within the EA SPORTS label including, Madden NFL, FIFA, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, NHL, NBA, NCAA, SSX, and Fight Night. I also have design experience with the Walt Disney Company, ESPN and ESPN.com.

I aspire to be a cultural producer, or a practical visionary. I constantly and actively initiate projects and ideas ranging from products and publication ideas, to website and exhibition concepts. My goal as an artist is to learn to focus on advancing a personal vision with a public message. I also love playing a vital role as part of a team.
