I believe socratic inquiry and rational discourse between parties passionate for progress have the power to shape the destiny of the planet, and seek to be an active participant in this ongoing process. Every day I wake up and get to be both a student and a teacher (on my good days); I couldn't imagine doing anything else.

Right now, I'm a reporter for Bloomberg Markets.

Previously, I was an investing reporter at The Globe and Mail.

Before that, I was the editor of Business in Canada, a digital publication I co-founded in mid-2013.

And prior to that, I wrote for MoneyGame and Clusterstock at Business Insider.

I've written extensively on every subject that piques my interest, including economics, finance, politics and law.

Disclosure: I was a member of the Liberal Party of Canada from September 2013 until the end of 2014, at which point I did not renew my membership. My personal beliefs have never informed nor pervaded my professional work -- I've proven myself capable of objectively reporting on and evaluating a variety of proposals from across the political spectrum.
