Hi, I’m Lucía!

I am passionate about reflecting and taking action on the impacts of technology, specifically AI, in society - particularly with subalterned populations, territories and bodies.

I do it as an independent researcher, advisor and activist; as Coordinator of Gender, Technology and Digitization in Ladysmith; and also as a Doctoral Researcher in the Graduate Center for the Study of Culture, University of Giessen, Germany. My research focuses on the ethics and governance of AI systems from feminist and decolonial perspectives.
