LUCKIE

Decatur, Georgia, United States

Hailing from Atlanta, CEO/Rapper/Songwriter, Luckie, was born Keith Pressley. As early as age 14, Luckie began to explore his passion for rapping and began to identify himself as Luckie after discovering that his musical talents were completely different from other artists. While a student at Decatur's Southwest DeKalb High School, Luckie would often perform for his peers and easily shine over his challengers. Crowd goers grew more and more impressed with Luckie's talent that they would invite to local talent shows and clubs to showcase his unique skills.

In the late 90's, Luckie and four other aspiring rappers formed a rap group, Perfect Thuggz. Supported with hardcore rhymes and a perfect harmonic flow, Luckie gained his first taste of musical success with the rap group. Shortly after, Luckie departed from Perfect Thuggz to focus more on his solo career. Once the Luckie was set on his style, delivery and brand he had the urge for his music to be broadcast to the public by any means necessary. In order to get his music heard Luckie would try to walk into local Atlanta radio stations to get his music into the hands of someone grant him radio exposure. Even after failed attempts he would often bypass security risking jail time to promote himself.

At the time of all this, Atlanta was coming to the forefront of the rap game with so called "snap music". Even though Luckie's style was more gritty he distributed his music sometimes out of the trunk of his car in and around the Atlanta area. His first solo single "Beast Mode". "Beast Mode" became a huge hit in the underground music world! The track encourages others to not give up in their dreams and to never accept no for an answer.

With the recent success of many of Atlanta's rap artists, Luckie decided to take a page out of his predecessors book by signing himself. After grinding for years and not nearly reaching his full potential, the decision was made to become his own boss. With a fresh new start and his own record label he has structured a game plan that won’t be denied. With the freedom to not be held down he vows to give his fans what has been held back from them with no middle man
