Computer Science Student and Student Involvement - Mentor at UTRGV in Edinburg, Texas
Hello guys! I'm so excited to be your mentor this semester, I can't wait to meet you all, this is going to be a great experience for us. I’m Lucy. I’m a Computer Science Student at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas.
I'm an international student. I decided to come to the Valley after I finished High School in Mexico because I knew it was going to be a great opportunity to develop myself in every way possible.
I chose Computer Science because it is something that I have always felt attracted to.
I would like to work in something related to my field.
It was the best decision I have ever made. I have developed a lot of qualities since I came here. If there is something that every student needs to do once they are in college is to Get Involved. Since my first semester I started joining organizations and going to events. I have met amazing people since then.
I enjoy going to the REC and go to the different classes that they offer, like zumba or dance fitness, it helps a lot to de-stress myself.
I know there is a lot more I have to experience and I can't wait to know what's next for me.
