My name is Ludmila Schnaider and I am an Art Photographer. I graduated from the Institute of Photography "Vizo" in Haifa, Israel. Since then I have participated and organized numerous photo shows both in Canada and in Israel. In 2004 I became the winner of the International Photo Contest in Hong Kong and in 2014 the winner of the Prestige Toronto 2013 award and this year winner of the Prestige Toronto 2014 award in Toronto.Right now I am volunteering my time to work on the charitable photo project My Dear Veterans. This is a historical art project about the veterans of World War II from around the world who live now in Canada... in Toronto, Markham, Burlington, Thornhill, Whitby, Barrie, Montreal, Halifax, Roseneath, Alberta and other places. This project is dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the Victory which I started to work on in 2014. In my opinion it is important to remember not only for the present generation, but also for the future. These veterans are now over ninety years old. Their heroism in that terrible war merits recognition, even so many years later. So it is no less important for our heroic veterans who know about the most terrible war in human history, not by hearsay. The history of these people - that's all they have, and they need to know that their contribution is valued and that story is honored today by us! Our veterans fought and risked their lives for the fact that our future was peaceful and we never knew the horrors of war!
