Luis Silva Pereira

I have been working as a corporate finance, project finance and M&A advisor. I was also a former corporate banking account manager and a project finance portfolio manager responsible for a portfolio of 139 loans and guarantees in a total of approximately Eur. 2 Bn.

I am now working in the Corporate Finance division of Banco Efisa and have been involved mainly in the completion of several transactions such as the sale of an Insurance Company and the restructuring and the sale of a Credit Institution to an UK Private Equity Firm. This last one being particularly challenging because involved a debt hair cut to the Portuguese government, the same as to say a negative price for the transaction.

Previously, I worked for eight years at CaixaBI, the investment bank of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, the largest Portuguese retail bank.

I have been responsible for the contractual negotiations and bid proposals valuation, for the elaboration of Information Memorandums and presentations to both internal and external clients, for Virtual Data Room organization, and transaction monitoring, for the design, drafting and negotiation of financial advisory services mandates, for the development of models (financial models and internal management controlling models as operational tools).

Have a very good domain of the Discounted Cash-Flow techniques and multiples valuation and I keep in touch on a regular basis with my network of business contacts spanning clients, potential sponsors, legal, tax, technical advisors and with other players in the Investment Banking industry.

I hold a university degree of four-years in economics, and has completed a post-graduation in corporate finance and management control. Am certified in Advanced English by the Cambridge English Language Assessment, have a proven track record of continuous training attested by several courses covering leadership, IT tools, accounting, financial markets and languages. Lately, I have completed the Model Thinking course ministered by the university of Michigan.

I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.

I am based in Lisbon, Portugal. Married with Teresa, father of a 4 years old curious boy, and my family is a wonderful dynamic team eager to consider the world as home.
