So, I'm an Electrical Engineer, did a minor in Computer Engineering so I know all the technical details of most "Techie" related areas. I also teach part-time some Engineering Technology classes.
My main job is as a Solution Strategist, I know this can include a lot of things, so mainly my day2day revolves around meeting customers (private and public sector), understanding what they're doing and HOW they are doing it, and find a way to make their life's a bit easier, and in the end making their business more profitable, better aligned with their goals.
Other job related areas include being a public speaker at events.
