Luisa (Vasquez) Torres

Hi! I’m Luisa, a meticulous and compassionate professional currently studying Medical Billing and Coding, online with Ultimate Medical Academy (Clearwater, Florida)—where I’ve earned honor roll recognition for academic excellence.

After moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2011, I launched my college adventure at Tarrant County College—growing as a leader and creative thinker. During my studies, I served as a Peer Advisor, founded Club 64 chess club to which I was voted as president every semester until I graduated, participated in the Leadership Academy, and represented my campus as an Ambassador (and even the school mascot!). I completed my Associate of Arts degree in 2014, specializing in graphic communications, and was honored to have some art displayed on campus.

Professionally, my journey has included roles as a Cashier, Cook, Account Executive, Admissions Associate, Material Handler, Bank Teller, and a dedicated stay-at-home mom/family caregiver. I thrive in demanding environments and pride myself on adaptability, attention to detail, confidentiality, and a true service mindset.

Now, I’m excited to pivot into healthcare administration and medical coding. Outside of work and studies, I find inspiration and balance through music and art.
