Every time I need to complete a task, my fingers automatically open up Spotify, shockingly enough even as I write this bio (wow, so predictable I know). It seems life is so much easier, so much more enjoyable with a soundtrack playing in the background. It's able to fill all those empty spaces and thoughts with a melody. My brazilian roots allowed me a depper connection with music, and I grew up with the sounds of bossa nova, jazz, and samba playing on what seemed like an eternal loop inside my house. In the human mind, we have always a script playing in our head--our inner monologues--and it seems as though mine is a playlist and a script at the same time. A musical if you will, filled with showstopping musical numbers and even a dramatic ballad. Of course, I can't give myself too much credit, for life isn't a musical or a drama that I can perform on stage, although it is fun to think of it like that.
