I am a teacher of professional counselors, and a psychotherapist for individuals, families, and adolescents as well. I see teaching and counseling as relational arts informed by science, care for the development of my clients and students' intuition, creativity, and emotional Intelligence, and promote their self-integration and holistic growth.

My academic research is informed by Complexity theory and Poetic Logic, and focuses on conceptions of self and on the production of stories to promote virtues and character strengths. My dissertation explored the creation of a mythopoeic graphic novel to promote understandings of what it means to be a fully-integrated human being today. I have presented the results of my research at annual conventions of the American Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association, and the International Positive Psychology Association.
