Publicist and journalist specialized in Fantastic Cinema (Horror, Fantasy, and Science Fiction), with an extensive career spanning film criticism, publishing, production, and cultural management. He is currently the Head of Acquisitions for the film distribution company Wild Duck.

Editorial and Journalistic Career

He was the creator and director of the transmedia project Scifiworld (2005-2018), the longest-running fantastic cinema magazine in Spanish history. Between 2006 and 2008, he served as the director of SciFi Spain magazine for the Sci-Fi Channel (NBC Universal).

Throughout his career, he has authored hundreds of articles, reviews, and interviews for world-renowned international publications such as the American Fangoria, the Italian Nocturno, and the French L’Ecran Fantastique, in addition to being a regular collaborator on various radio and television programs.

As an editor, he has spearheaded fundamental genre books, including Paul Naschy, la máscara de Jacinto Molina, Profanando el sueño de los muertosor Lucio Fulci: Epifanías del Horror.

Production and Consultancy

His work within the film industry includes producing feature films such as 1978 (2024) and several short films. He also served as producer and artistic director for the documentary The Man Who Saw Frankenstein Cry. He is a member of the Academia do Audiovisual Galego (Galician Audiovisual Academy).

A specialist in release strategies, he has managed press departments for festivals and premieres, handled international film rights sales, and served as a creative advisor for multiple literary and cinematic projects.

Festival Direction and Media

Since 2015, he has directed Curtas Festival do Imaxinario in Vilagarcía de Arousa, the oldest film festival in Galicia (founded in 1973). Previously, he managed and programmed prominent festivals across Spain like Madrid International Fantastic Film Festival, Nocturna: Director (2013-2016), Festival of Fantastic Short Films, Shots (Madrid): Director (2010-2012), Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia: Director of the Brigadoon Section (2010) or Costa del Sol Fantastic Film Week: Deputy Director (2009).

He maintains an active presence in genre outreach through the streaming program Zona Prohibida, broadcast weekly on the Curtas Festival do Imaxinario YouTube channel.
