Lukas Steiner

I’m an Italian-German designer and entrepreneur passionate about 3D printing, automation, and digital manufacturing.

After studying mechanical engineering in Stuttgart and working in product design between Munich and Milan, I began sharing my open-source projects with the maker community, collaborating with European groups and Italian companies.

I am the author of the international bestseller “How to Make Money with 3D Printing”, available in Italian, English, and German on Amazon. The book has become a reference within the 3D printing community for makers who want to turn their passion into a real business.

I am currently working on my second book, “How to Master the 3D Craft Printing”, a journey into the new digital craftsmanship, featuring interviews with creators and makers who are shaping the future of decentralized manufacturing.

Through books, guides, and practical resources, I help designers, digital artisans, and hobbyists transform their ideas into sustainable and profitable ventures.

My projects and 3D models are available on MakerWorld and Cults3D — including Clippyna, one of my most recognized designs. Alongside my independent creations, I also develop custom B2B projects commissioned by local companies, bringing digital fabrication into real-world applications.

I see 3D printing as the new Renaissance workshop of the 21st century — where technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship meet in the hands of those who dare to build.
