About Me
My name is Luke Crumley and I am from a small town in the North Georgia Mountains. I was home schooled from kinder garden until seventh grade. I enrolled at White County Middle School as an eighth grader. I began playing basketball and baseball when I was six years old. Soon, sports began a major part of my life; I spent hours practicing every week. Upon entering high school, it became my goal to be a starting pitcher for the varsity baseball team. Through hard work and motivation from my family, I achieved my goal. I started playing summer baseball when I was fourteen. My passion for baseball grew and I began to be recruited by division one schools. As a boy, I dreamed of playing baseball at the University of Georgia. When I committed to play baseball at Georgia as a sophomore, it was a huge accomplishment. All my hard work and determination finally paid off. Last year, I came to Georgia during the summer to attend classes and begin workouts for the upcoming baseball season. During the fall, I learned what it took to be a SEC baseball player. I had my first career start against Florida, the number one team in the nation. When I stepped onto the mound and threw my first inning, I knew my career was just beginning. I finished the season with five starts, and I cannot wait for my sophomore season to begin.
