Sam Lukens
Athens, GA
I grew up in Marietta, Georgia, which is located just outside of Atlanta. I started elementary school at Sope Creek then finished of my schooling at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School in Sandy Springs. My entire life I have had a strong passion for anything baseball, I played every year since the age of three and planned to continue in college but sustained a severe back injury. My parent's names are Ann and Howard Lukens, my mom is a stay at home mom and my father works for a green battery company. I only have one sibling, my older brother Davis, who graduated from Denison University in Ohio last spring. He played college lacrosse and now works a telecommunications company. I am a huge animal person and currently have a corgi named Pete who is three years old. I am a first year student at UGA but have taken courses at Georgia Perimeter College (GPC) in order to get ahead in my studies.
To tell a little bit about my personality, I like to think that I am super outgoing and love to meet people. Anyone who wants to have a conversation I am "all ears" because I love to talk to people. As an athlete, I try to stay very active and stay in good shape. I also hope to be very active not only in the athletic community at UGA but have strong involvement in a fraternity, service, and student government.
Currently my goal post college is to become a marketing or sales executive at a telecommunications or green technology company. Once graduation roles around I hope to be in great academic standing and consider the possibility of graduate school to further focus my studies. This is me in a nut shell, just a happy go lucky person who is always striving and working to do his best.
