I am the founder and CEO of Lulu’s the Salon & Day Spa, a world class salon I opened over 30 years ago in Galveston, Texas. My clients come from all over the world to seek services from my personally trained and award winning staff.

My passion is education. I believe if you’re not learning, you’re not progressing, and nowhere is this more evident than the fast paced beauty industry. I am committed to developing my craft in sync with the latest trends, and as a result, my technical systems have been contracted by companies like Wella, Matrix, and Zoto’s. I was instrumental in creating the Matrix CRAFT method of cutting hair, which I use to train my staff. I am equally committed to teaching, and love to help and inspire professionals in my field. My demand as a lecturer and teacher has taken me all over the world and I am internationally known as a featured platform artist at leading beauty shows.

I have developed my own line of hair and skincare products which I use exclusively on my clientele, the quality of which rivals that of big beauty brands such as Aveda and Aquage. I am a founding member of the Professional Beauty Association (PBA), and serve as its Vice President. I also serve on the board of the National Cosmetology Association and and have been invited to join the family of Intercoiffure, the most influential organization in the industry. My work has appeared in over sixty beauty journals and my salon was recognized as one of the top 200 fastest growing salons by Salon Today magazine.

My friends and clientele see me as a force of nature, and many often wonder when, or if I sleep. I like to keep them guessing as I wear my other hats, such as visual artist (first place in a juried art show, as well as a member of the Galveston Arts League), golfer (president of the LGA, Galveston country club’s Lady Golf Association), and a leader in the hispanic community (my salon was awarded the Hispanic Heritage Business of the Year and I am a member of Los Comadres, a national organization that empowers young Latinas through community building, culture, learning, and technology).
