Lulu Fall
Lulu Fall is anything but ordinary. Known for her warm, rich, and colorful sound, this 25-year-old vocalist continues to captivate her audiences. A background in musical theatre, Lulu attended the esteemed Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, where she studied with musical theatre experts like Vera M. Katz, Mike Malone, and Anthony Booker.
Because Lulu has a background in musical theatre, she alternates between that and music. Among other shows, she was a swing in Arena Stage’s production of Crowns, performer in the Smithsonian’s American Songbook Program, and ensemble member in Studio Theatre’s adaptation of Passing Strange. With a degree in Jazz Studies, Lulu attended Michigan State University. Through this prestigious university, Lulu has had the opportunity to participate in Generations 2006—a biannual jazz workshop held in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.
Among the many places Ms. Fall has performed, some highlights include:
the Winter Music Conference in Miami, FL, Blues Alley in Washington, DC, and Langnau Jazz Nights Festival, in Switzerland. Lulu also opened up for John Forte, former producer of The Fugees.
Currently, Lulu is on tour with HAIR, the tribal love rock musical. She is promoting her debut jazz album, ‘Lulu’s Back in Town’ (cdbaby.com) and her sophomore EP, ‘It’s Official’ (lulufall.bandcamp.com). She is set to release another EP in London in April, under the independent label Broadcite.
