Luluk Sofijati

My name is Luluk Sofijati, you can call me Luluk. I am a teacher in Sekolah Ciputra, one of the biggest international IB (International Baccalaureate)World schools in Indonesia. Teaching is my passion. I have been a PYP (Primary Years Programme) teacher for 17 years.

I embrace teaching as a moment of learning and inspiring. I believe that learning works best if students are happy so that they can get engaged well during the learning process. I value every single person who enters my class for who they are and what they bring to the learning environment. For me, my students are all special and by giving them equal opportunities to learn, they will perform their best in their learning.

I am passionate about teaching and learning Maths because it is fun and challenging. It is enjoyable because I love using various kinds of strategies in my Math class, such as using concrete materials, videos, online games, board games and any other fun activities. I am feeling great if my students understand the Maths concepts that I have taught them. At times, it is very challenging, in a positive way, when it comes to Maths teaching and learning. I need to always update myself to more interesting and engaging strategies.
