I am a creative alchemist that works to transform materials and elements into beautiful, useful and meaningful creations. I use resources to find the materials that aid my inspiration within the context of my own world. I have a vision to create a collection of images from nature, images that are connected not only by color and techniques but by recycled materials as well. I utilize materials that would normally have been thrown in the garbage. My main topic is the Eco Art. It is a great way not only to recycle but to raise awareness of environmental issues. With a little bit of thought I can find creative ways to turn "trash" into "treasures". Ordinary and sometimes discarded things can become art. I have taken up the challenge of merging the creative, and often flamboyant, art world with protecting the environment. And I do it with finesse: I produce "Fine Art with a Green Heart". I'm both a fine artist and an environmentalist I am adamant that I have a foot solidly in both the fine art world and the "caring for the earth" camp. All my creations are made by using up items that would normally just get thrown away, such as junk mail, old photos, greeting cards, magazines, old calendars. Any paper waste, dust wood, wire or plastic is happily reused by me. I also have a deep devotion to working only by hand. Absolutely no technology, programs or dies have been used in my creations. They are all hand-cut, hand-painted and hand-finished. "My paintings are made of thousands of incongruent pieces assembled as an art work; the combinations of all materials I use create an entirely new image - a portrait, a landscape, a fantasy - directly from my imagination, utilizing materials that would otherwise go to waste." Wonderful works of art evoke different emotions and reactions and can truly touch souls. But does the world of art touch the soul of our planet a little too much? How much consideration is given to the environment when artists are producing these fantastic and beautiful creations? When I faced with a problem of a mounting pile of junk, I chose to get creative. "People often ask me - what came first - the art or the material?" and I say "For me, the resource I use was a real solution to a problem".
