Brent Black Counselling offers a diverse range of affordable support services to both adolescents and adults: specialising in the education, prevention, intervention, treatment and various long-term management strategies of addiction, alcoholism and/or other behavioural disorders. Brent Black Counselling offers the only outpatient addiction aftercare programme in Pietermaritzburg and the surrounding areas. The centre also offers three weekly classes: a stepwork class for those working the 12-step programme, a harm reduction class, as well as a personal development workshop. The outpatient programme and classes are all 3-month services.

These services empower individuals - holistically and in various ways - to discover for themselves the rewards of life free from addiction, grow in their true selves, lead fulfilling lives and experience thriving relationships.

Brent Black Counselling's support services - ranging from preventative outreach education for adolescents to an intensive outpatient aftercare 'Recovery Support Programme' - offer valuable support for many: individuals who have never been exposed to substances to those who have already completed inpatient programmes.
