Lupie Lou
Chronically ill and more than a little bit bonkers.
I used to have a career, friends, a life. Then I got sick, but I don’t look sick, so few believe it. A lot of people don’t know what lupus is, and I think that’s mainly because those of us who have it become shut-ins who don’t get out much, except for doctor’s appointments and the ER. We just take our ridiculously huge number of pills every day and quietly amass a laundry list of diagnoses, because autoimmune diseases like lupus don’t like to travel alone.
The person who invents a machine that allows other people to feel our pain will not only earn millions of dollars, but millions of undying fans.
