Laura Carruyo Rincon

Venezuela, Maracaibo

My name is Laura
I born and raised in a small tropical town in the Gulf of Venezuela known as Maracaibo. Since my childhood, I felt attracted to visual arts, especially for design, photography and film. Ever since I was a girl, I have been a curious person, and this originated inclinations toward research in different topics.
Upon the time to start my university studies, I continued my artistic inclinations and chose Graphic Design career at the University of Zulia. Four years later in 2011, I got my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. The same year I started my photo studios with Alberth Frangie, who gave me tools and knowledge needed to develop my skills and passion for this art. This motivated me to make a series of exhibitions and projects of experimental photography.

The studies of graphic design and photography have developed and improved my skills and abilities of aesthetics, composition, layout, proportion and color. Similarly, these have given me the opportunity to learn the handling of graphics and digital tools, to perform my work in different areas: Advertising, Branding, Editorial, Video, Photography, Packaging, Web, Animation and 3D Modelling. Also these have been fundamental to development my perception and capacity to responding to visual communication problems in different areas, in a creatively, innovational, functional and simple way.

I have had the opportunity and ability to link my profession and research inclinations. This has originated a series of investigations in the area of visual arts, music, conservation, and native culture. This have been giving me the opportunity of participation as a expositor in different conferences and symposium in internationally scale.

Graphic Design and Photography has taught me to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a short time, working under own methodology, be curious, innovate and believe in my imagination and ideas.
