Ibiza has the image of a "party island". Of course, you can enjoy the exclusive nightlife, top DJ’s and artists from all over the world performing in Ibiza’s extraordinary clubs but you can also enjoy Jazz and cool chill out music during the sunset. Ibiza has a wide variety of restaurants, where you can enjoy local specialties and tapas with your feet in the sand and with the sound of the surf in the background, in one of the small streets in the old town, or in one of the old fincas in the countryside. The islands gastronomy ranges from affordable local tapas restaurant to the upscale restaurants like Cipriani and Lío. Nevertheless, the Island also offers tranquility and nature and even during the high season, you can find the true Ibiza spirit.
Ibiza offers more than 60 beaches and, scenic, small coves with clear water and several natural parks (such as Ses Salines and Cala d’Hort).
Ibiza has more than 3,000 years of history. It features several cultural-historical monuments, such as a settlement of the Phoenicians in Sa Caleta, the necropolis of Puig des Molins and one of the best-preserved forts of Europe "Dalt Villa".
Inland Ibiza still offers unspoiled beauty. There are fields with cereals, grapes and several types of citrus fruits. There are centuries-old olive trees from the time that Hannibal collected his ‘stone slingers’ for his army from Ibiza. Typical for the landscape of Ibiza are the pine trees, the Sabina tree, the fig tree and the algarroba. Aromatic plants, such as thyme, rosemary and lavender, perfume the air and during those hot summer nights, you can hear the crickets.
In the early spring, it is a feast in the valleys full of flourishing almond trees (valley of Santa Agnes) and during the summer months dry fields are turned into fields full of flowers like poppies and wild garlic.
