Laura Watts

By day, I work in a fast-paced Innovation agency as a PA with three of the Innovation and Transformation Directors, managing their client development, resourcing schedule and helping co-ordinate their client project work. Working with the senior leaders of the organisation is incredible experience and develops my learning, fast!

My involvement of much of the agency's internal marketing allows me to harness a passion of mine, the company values. The freedom I am given for promotion of the values allows for me to help the staff engage with them and apply them into the work they do.

As well, I have been working with other members of the SLT to develop a robust knowledge and content management strategy program, which involves research into a completely new system provider. The application and roll out of this system will be something I am able to champion and be a point of contact for across the business.

Previously, my role was Resourcing Manager where I focused on the complete resource scheduling for the company. I centred my efforts around people's skills and expertise, creating commercially viable project teams and understanding development opportunities for individuals.

Recently I completed my Professional Diploma in Marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. The four modules on the strategic, metric based, digital and innovative elements of marketing has propelled my enthusiasm for business further and I completed the course with an overall merit.

I aspire to continue working with a values-led company in a role with a larger marketing focus. I work best with others who have entrepreneurial spirit at their core and are ready to take on big challenges, just as I am.

In my personal life, I like painting the walls of my east London flat, de-cluttering just to clutter up again and running along the River Lea. Inflating my Kayak and getting onto the river is my usual summer activity and bunkering down in a cosy pubs playing cards in the winter is where you shall find me.
