Lwethu Nkosi

I am a third-year Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, specialising in Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. Alongside my studies, I work as a university tutor, where I have the privilege of supporting students in their academic journey.

My teaching philosophy is centred on creating engaging and inclusive learning environments that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine love for learning. I aspire to make science meaningful, relevant such that learners see science as something that belongs to them, while continuously growing as a reflective practitioner. I am passionate about educational research, I aspire to further my studies to become a lifelong researcher who develops innovative solutions that improve teaching and learning.

Beyond academics, I enjoy reading, volunteering in community outreach initiatives, and spending my free time playing netball and chess. I am committed to using every opportunity to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact on learners whilst developing my leadership, teamwork, strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
