Leisa Wheeler

I recently retired from teaching technology courses which included Introduction to Web Design. I have taken those basic Web Design skills in conjunction with my Bachelor's in Fine Arts in 2-dimensional design from the University of Oklahoma and married those skills in a new company, TecPlus Solutions. I am diligently working at designing, maintaining, and managing websites and keeping current on SEO and all things associated with promoting a business utilizing the tools available through the internet.

Being an autodidactic learner all my life, I knew I could not retire and do nothing. I had taught myself the basics of Web Design utilizing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP. Upon investigation I found the best platform to use for my business was WordPress and use my coding skills to individualize WordPress themes. Since I run a one-person shop I can leverage the plugins available for WordPress to meet my customer's design and functional web needs.

Being the person who does the design, maintenance, and management of a company's online presence means I can see the big picture and share that vision with a company versus a web design entity that has different departments or subs out work. I think I can meet a companies online presence needs better and will be up front with the company if I can't meet their unique needs.
