Liz Wilber

Social Media Manager, Sailor, and Graphic designer

You're probably wondering who I am and what I do. Well, first off, I'm Liz. The second part is a little tricky. For now, I can tell you I love laughing and working with fun people.

While at Kent State I studied Fashion Design and Pyschology. Upon graduating, I briefly worked in recruitment advertising and ended up returning to Cleveland State for a degree in Graphic Design. While there, I started working for the Department Veterans Affairs Medical Center and was the first Public Affairs Specialist in the VA dedicated to social media. I implemented and managed all aspects of several new media platforms and websites. I enjoyed creating a variety of original content, designing and writing posts, producing videos, conducting interviews, and writing feature and informative website content. Additionally, I managed and advised internal communications for a staff of 5,000. I resigned in September to help take care of an ill family member.

I also use my communication and design skills to help promote the sport of sailing, on a local and national level. I've sat on many boards and have planned several successful regattas. Fun fact: I've raced 53 hours from Port Huron to Mackinaw Island and took 2nd in class.

My other passions include my husband, traveling, snowboarding and hopefully surfing one day.
