It is a sense of community I feel that makes me drawn to social justice. Taking a personal interest in the injustices of our world, and having a personal drive to fight for the oppressed I began having dreams of making a difference. This understanding of social justice led me to the profession of social work.

I am currently a graduate student candidate for North Carolina A&T/UNCG joint social work program. I have experience working in substance abuse and mental health populations. I have also been an active member with the National Association of Social Workers-NC and has served on the NASW-NC, legislative committee for the second year now. My interests include community organizing and outreach, policy practice and advocacy.. I hope to inspire other social workers to unite together in our efforts for the human quality of life.
