Affectionately known as Lydia "Keeping It Real" Griffin. Lydia had a call on her life to serve the Lord. She is the eldest daughter of four children. Born into a family that has been anointed to minister through song and the preached Word, Lydia and her family have been ministering across the United States since they were very young. She is a passionate & accomplished hairstylist & make-up artist and Educator to many clients (and noted clients) for over twenty years. Her work has been featured in several hair / salon magazines over the years. She has worked as Salon / Spa Manager for several top salons & spas in NYC: Gazelle, Aveda, and Avon. Lydia has also volunteered with “StyleWorks,” as a Salon Coordinator and MUA for several Off-Bwy plays. Lydia has also worked in profit and non- profit organizations such as the Phoenix House Foundation as Human Resources Generalist and Benefits Manager for eight years. Additionally, she worked as primary consultant for the Beyonce Cosmetology School within the Phoenix Houses’ Brooklyn Academy. Lydia has served in many capacities over the years as such as Sunday School Superintendent, Adult class teacher, praise and worship leader, preacher, teacher, altar worker, Intercessor's Prayer Retreat leader, President of the Women’s Outreach Ministry as well as Armor Bearer. Lydia has been blessed to work with various local church choirs and praise and worship groups as Minister of Music and praise and worship leader. Lydia graduated from the Community Bible Institute & Seminary in 2007 with dual degrees: Bachelor’s in Religious Education and Theology and is currently an Instructor there. In 2012, Lydia received a Master of Arts Degree in Human Services from Liberty University Online (Virginia) and currently working on a second Master’s and Doctorate degree in Christian Education. In 2011, Healing Hearts Ministry, Inc. was birthed and under the HHM, Inc. brand came the birthing of the DIVAS Women's Fellowship, Mentoring in Ministry Excellence (M.I.M.E.) Vessels In Pursuit of God’s Glory (V.I.P.), and Sister 2 Sister Book Club. In 2013, the Lord opened doors for Lydia to host her first Internet Blog Radio show entitled, “A New Breed of Levites,” to write articles for several Christian Publications and co-star in an Off-Bwy play. She is currently working on her first book and her own fragrance line.
