Lydia Rose Spencer

My name is Lydia Rose Spencer. Want to know a little about me? Well, here it is. I live in Maine, it is cold much of the year, which is nice because no one bugs me for being inside painting. My art focuses mainly on portraiture of people and animals, I have always been drawn to faces because they are so complex in their ability to tell a story, human and animal. I studied fine art at The University of Maine and New Hampshire Institute of Art. Art school was a spur of the moment decision when I was in my early twenties, I spent most of my time training horse when I was younger but I had always loved art, so one day I decided that I couldn't go any longer without pursuing my artistic abilities. I think its going pretty well ;) I believe that art teaches us to perceive beauty in every day things. That's a little about me ;)
