As a child, Lyman A. Montgomery had a number of physical and mental challenges to overcome; he wore corrective shoes, failed in school, had a severe speech impediment, was sexually abused by his teacher for three years, and endured the suicide and murder of his grandfather whom he loved very much. As a result of his years of abuse, he became withdrawn, emotionally unstable, and spent the next twenty-five years running in circles and accomplishing very little in terms of productivity and financial independence.

After missing out on some great business opportunities and continuing to face road blocks and personal disappointments due to a lack of focus and concentration; Lyman decided to do something different. He learned to clear his mind of distractions and focused his energies on eliminating his debilitating beliefs, and within a few weeks he saw dramatic results.

Since that time, he has accomplished a lot. He is the founder and president of GetFocusToday.com, a company dedicated to working with business leaders and career professionals to help them remove distractions, increase their productivity, and turn their priorities into profits. He is a well sought-after conference speaker (over 30 speaking engagements a year) and productivity consultant to organizations across the United States. In 2011, he authored the best-selling book: Shattered Masks: 7 Masks We Wear.

His educational and professional credentials includes a, Masters of Business Administration; post-graduate training from Harvard University and is currently, pursuing his PhD in Human Resources Management and Leadership.
