Lyncia Pivert (born July 22, 1992) is a vocalist and instrumentalist from French Guiana. Throughout her childhood, Pivert was involved with the ‘Praise and Worship’ team at her local church. This experience subsequently sparked her interest in Gospel music, which she began to teach herself. In addition, Pivert found an interest in R&B and soul music. The influences of these genres helped shape the abilities of Pivert in the early stages of her career.

Pivert received ten years of musical training from the Edgar Nibul National School of Music and Dance in city of Cayenne. At this institution, she developed her choral and music theory skills, as well as studied violin and clarinet for three and four years respectively.

Outside of school, Pivert remained very active musically. At the Institute of Training Disciplines Musical, she continued her studies with additional singing lessons, and took piano performance. The programs co-founders Regine and Denis Lapassion are well-established instructors in their own rights, with credits that include Fabienne Jacquinot, Ray Charles, Rhoda Scott, and numerous other notable names in music.

After receiving a Bachelor of Music in musicology at the Sorbonne University campus in Guiana, Pivert enrolled in the Master of Music in Contemporary Studio Performance program at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. While gaining an international experience in Europe, she was able to expand upon her skills as a singer both through live performances and numerous recording sessions.

Pivert’s other accomplishments include the participation in several music performances as a vocalist. She has accompanied internationally renowned artists Marcel Boungou and Maggie Blanchard and Gospel artist from United States Tori Robinson and Malik Young. Pivert also won a CD single contest with her song entitled “Pardon.”

Since October 2012, Pivert has given choral lessons to children and adults.
