VOLUNTEERING - SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES:

Lyndon has a passion and loves for sports. He has been involved in and supporting deaf sports worldwide as one of his personal interests, largely thanks to having represented the Australian Deaf Basketball Team at the Deaflympic Games.

Lyndon has served a 4-year term (2007-2011) as the President of the world governing body for deaf basketball – Deaf International Basketball Federation (DIBF). He oversaw the basketball developments for deaf youth, coaches and referees and managed the regional and world championships. Liaising and cooperating with FIBA as the primary supporter of DIBF.

Although he has been on the DIBF board from 2001 until he stepped down in 2011 when he has completed the presidential term.

Since 2018, he has been serving on the Board of Trustees for a charity - the Royal Association for Deaf people (RAD). RAD has been a British charitable organisation since 1841 whose mission is to promote the welfare and interests of Deaf people.
